SATs and GCSE revision planner

How to spread revision over weeks instead of cramming: topic checklists, past papers and spaced practice, with a downloadable timetable.

Effective revision is planned, spaced and active. This planner follows the structure our tutors use: work backwards from exam dates, break subjects into small topics, and schedule short regular sessions rather than long cramming ones.

For each week, pick one or two topics per subject, revise actively (practice questions and self-testing, never just re-reading), and mark completed topics. Protect one full rest day each week.

Ask a Saturday tutor to set up the planner with your child - we run this exercise every autumn - and revisit it together each half-term to adjust as mock results come in.
