The Black Curriculum exists to make sure Black British history is taught all year round, not just in October. It delivers programmes in schools, publishes accessible history books and runs campaigns for a more inclusive national curriculum.
For families, its published books and learning resources are a brilliant way to connect what young people learn at YLN's Culture & Heritage sessions with home reading - stories that reflect their heritage and the Britain they live in.
How families can use it: browse their bookshop and resources together, ask your child's school about their Black history provision, and bring questions to our Saturday heritage sessions where our tutors build on this work.
