The King's Trust (formerly The Prince's Trust) supports young people aged 16-30 who are out of education, work or training, or who need a boost to find their direction. Its free programmes include employability courses, mentoring, and grants to start a business or pay for qualifications.
Programmes typically run a few weeks, are friendly and practical, and many YLN alumni move on to them after finishing their GCSEs or sixth form.
How families can use it: our older learners and volunteers can explore their 'explore all support' pages, or ask YLN staff to make an introduction. Their Enterprise programme is particularly strong for young people with a business idea.
