YoungMinds

The UK's leading young people's mental health charity, with advice for young people and a dedicated parents helpline.

YoungMinds provides free, trustworthy mental health support and information for young people up to age 25, their parents and carers. Its website explains common struggles - anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, exam stress - in clear, practical language.

Parents can call the free YoungMinds Parents Helpline (0808 802 5544, weekdays) to speak with a trained adviser about a child's mental health, and can also email parents@youngminds.org.uk for guidance. The site includes a plain-English guide to CAMHS and how referrals work.

How families can use it: browse the 'find help' pages together with your child, or read the parent guides on your own first. If exams are causing stress, their exam pressure pages pair well with the wellbeing support our tutors offer on Saturdays.
