Confidence grows from evidence: small challenges attempted and completed. Try a 'done list' instead of a to-do list, where your child records what they achieved each day; teach a skill back to you (explaining is powerful); and let them make real decisions - menus, travel plans, pocket money.
Physical activities, performing and volunteering all build confidence through competence. Public speaking practice in low-stakes settings - reading aloud at home - transfers directly to classroom participation.
Our Saturday programme is built around these principles: learners present to each other, mentor younger children and take on responsibilities. Talk to us about which activities match where your child is right now.
